Email us
The best way to reach us is by email:
The address is a Cloudflare-managed forward to a small mailbox run by the site's author, so every message reaches a real person rather than a ticket queue. Please allow a few days for a reply — this is a one-person project, not a company, and the people who read your email are also the ones writing the calculators.
What we can help with
- Calculator errors — a result that looks wrong, or a formula that breaks on certain inputs. Include the numbers you entered and we will reproduce it.
- Requests for new tools — if a valuation method you use is missing, tell us which one and how you use it. The most common request historically has been for a residual income or EVA model, and for a more thorough treatment of options dilution.
- Corrections — factual or methodological errors in our explanations. If a worked example uses stale figures, a citation that points to a paper we misread, or a formula with a sign error, we will fix it and credit you.
- Privacy and data questions — see the Privacy Policy first; it answers most of them.
- Advertising and partnership enquiries — please include details of what you have in mind. We do not run sponsored posts and do not sell links; we may discuss display placements if the fit is right.
- Press and academic citations — for permission to reproduce a formula or chart from this site in a paper, blog post or book, drop us a line. We are happy to say yes for non-commercial use.
What we cannot do
To be clear about boundaries, we do not:
- Provide investment advice, stock recommendations or price targets on individual companies.
- Review your portfolio or tell you what to buy or sell.
- Offer tax or legal guidance.
- Guarantee a response time, or answer questions already covered on the site.
- Take paid placements, run sponsored calculators, or give favourable coverage to anyone in exchange for compensation.
These limits exist because we are not a registered investment adviser and do not know your circumstances. See the Disclaimer for the full explanation.
Before you write
If your question is about how a specific calculator works, the answer is usually already on that page — each one includes a worked explanation, the formula, and a FAQ section covering common points of confusion.
If you are reporting an apparent bug, three pieces of information speed up the fix a lot:
- The exact URL of the calculator you were using.
- The values you entered (a screenshot is fine — none of the calculator data is sensitive).
- What you expected versus what the calculator returned.
Response time and follow-ups
You should get a first reply within five working days, often sooner. We cannot promise a fix on a particular schedule, especially for feature requests that require building a new calculator from scratch, but every bug report gets a confirmation message saying we have read it. If a message bounces, check the address carefully; mistyped domain names are the most common reason for a silent failure.
Language
The site is written in English. Email in English is read by default. We can reply to short Chinese-language messages as well, but for technical calculator questions English keeps the discussion precise and lets us cite the same formulas shown on the page.
Postal mail
Postal mail is not accepted and the site does not publish a street address. This is a deliberate privacy choice: the site is a one-person project, and a public street address adds no value while inviting the kind of unwanted contact that internet-facing mailboxes always attract.
Reporting security issues
If you have found a security issue affecting stockvalcalc.com — cross-site scripting, content injection, exposed credentials, anything of that kind — please email the details to the address above with the subject line "Security". We treat these as priority and will respond within 24 hours.
When not to write
A few situations are better handled elsewhere. For general questions about how to value a particular stock, your broker's research desk or a public investor forum is usually a faster path than email to us, since we have no view on individual companies. For complaints about advertising that appears on the site, you can use the "Ad choices" or "Ad feedback" links on each ad unit, which route directly to Google rather than to us. For SEO or link-exchange proposals, please do not write — the answer is no.
What we read carefully
The messages that get the most thorough reply are the ones that include enough detail to act on. If you are reporting an apparent bug, three pieces of information speed up the fix a lot: the calculator URL, the values you entered, and what you expected versus what the calculator returned. If you are asking for a new tool, one sentence on how you would use it is more useful than a long description of what the tool would do.
