Who we are
ValueCalc (stockvalcalc.com) is an independent website offering free stock valuation calculators. It is operated by an individual, not a company, and is not affiliated with any broker, bank or investment adviser.
What we do not collect
Every calculator on this site runs entirely inside your browser. The numbers you type are processed by JavaScript on your own device — they are never transmitted to us, and we have no way to see them. There is no account, no signup form and no submission button anywhere on this site, so we do not hold your name, email address, portfolio or calculations.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard technical information when your browser requests a page. This can include your IP address, user agent, the page requested and a timestamp. It is used to deliver the site, block abuse and diagnose errors. We do not combine this data with anything else to build a profile of you.
Cookies and advertising
This site displays advertising, including from Google AdSense. Google and its partners set cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is known as interest-based or personalized advertising.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a wide range of third-party advertising cookies through aboutads.info or, for users in the EU and UK, youronlinechoices.eu. Blocking cookies in your browser settings will also stop them, though ads will still be shown in non-personalized form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data held about you — to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to processing. Under the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA (California) these rights apply to data we actually hold. Because the site collects no personal data beyond the server logs described above, in practice there is usually nothing for us to produce or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will respond.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults interested in personal finance. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.
Links to other sites
Our articles occasionally link to external resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply once you leave stockvalcalc.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. Any revision takes effect when it is posted here, with the date below updated accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "last modified" date.
Data retention in practice
Our server logs are retained by Cloudflare for a standard window used for abuse detection and traffic analytics. We do not export those logs, build profiles from them or sell them. The logs do not contain anything beyond what your browser already sends to every website you visit — your IP, your user agent, the page requested and a timestamp. None of it is linked to your name unless you choose to send us an email, in which case the email address you used becomes a piece of data associated with your message.
Email messages sent to hello@stockvalcalc.com are stored on the address that receives them, governed by that provider's own privacy policy. We delete messages after we have handled them, unless we need to keep a thread for context (for example, a calculator bug that you reported and we fixed, where we may keep a note of the fix without keeping your address).
Third parties we use
Three outside services touch this site:
- Cloudflare for hosting, DNS and email forwarding. Their privacy policy governs what they collect.
- Google AdSense for display advertising. Their privacy policy applies to advertising cookies and the data those cookies carry.
- Google Search Console for monitoring how this site appears in Google search results. Google sees queries and click data, but not your identity as a visitor to this site.
No other analytics, no advertising networks beyond AdSense, no social media trackers, no A/B testing frameworks. If we add any, this list will be updated.
Where this policy applies
This policy applies to stockvalcalc.com and to the subdomains that share its hosting — for example, the version of the site served through Cloudflare Pages. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, even when the link appears on one of our pages. Once you click through, you are subject to the destination site's own policy, and we recommend reading it.
If you are reading a translation of this page, the English version on the live site is the authoritative one. Translations, where they exist, are provided for convenience and may lag behind small wording changes.
